Summer Positions
Become a teacher with Valdés Math! Teaching positions are available each Summer at a Valdés campus in the Bay Area, and we are seeking math teachers to join our team for a six-week summer program. This position offers an excellent opportunity for educators to inspire and educate students in mathematics during the summer break. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, skilled in mathematics instruction, and capable of creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Our Site Principals are vital contributors to the smooth operation of their assigned campuses. Their primary responsibilities encompass establishing productive relationships with parents and school district personnel and providing diligent oversight in matters pertaining to student and staff discipline.
Program Assistants (PA’s) offer classroom support to teachers and help students with assignments, day to day support; PA’s will lead small learning groups and work one on one with students. Other duties include escorting students to and from designated locations, such as from bus off loading in the morning and onboarding in the afternoon. They supervise students outdoors during lunch and other breaks. They administer and score tests. PA's are required to be on campus during days of instruction. They are there to greet parents and students upon arrival, and remain with students through the end of the day until pickup. A typical day of work is from 8 a.m to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (with some 4-day operation weeks) for six weeks during the Summer, typically mid June to late July, with. To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed 10th grande and be at least 16 years of age by the program start date. We encourage Valdés Alumni to apply but all are welcome.
Office Assistants play a crucial role in supporting our Site Principal. Your responsibilities are truly rewarding and include: providing support to the site principal by ensuring the smooth operation of teacher, program assistant, and student attendance records, building meaningful connections with parents, addressing their inquiries, and providing valuable assistance to our dedicated staff on campus. A typical day of work is from 8 a.m to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (with some 4-day operation weeks) for six weeks during the Summer, typically mid June to late July, with. To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed 10th grande and be at least 16 years of age by the program start date.
