Robert Ruiz

With over three decades of expertise in marketing and leadership within the electronic design automation industry, Robert has been a driving force behind competitive product lines, go-to-market strategies, brand redefinition, and impressive revenue growth of $100M product lines. He is currently senior director of product management at Synopsys, Inc. 

His commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within the STEM community stands as a cornerstone of his achievements. Robert played a pivotal role in pioneering groundbreaking programs, offering scholarships and internships to Latino college students, notably contributing to initiatives like the Stanford Summer Fellows program, which benefited first-generation, low-income students.

Beyond his corporate roles, Robert is an unwavering advocate for diversity and inclusion. As a lifetime member of the Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers (SHPE), he not only led Synopsys' participation in the largest gathering of Latinos in STEM—the SHPE National Convention—but also delivers and arranges impactful talks to college and high school students. His leadership within the company’s Latino employee resource group further demonstrates his commitment to fostering inclusivity.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Growing up in California’s Central Valley and being of Mexican descent, Robert holds a deep connection to his heritage and roots.  Robert  is married with a daughter and a son.
