Gaspar Modelo-Howard

Gaspar is a strong believer in the lasting and positive difference math can have on the youth. He believes it can be used as a tool to strengthen their confidence and ability to learn. Gaspar holds many degrees — a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, an M.Sc. in Information Security from the University of London, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technological University of Panama. Besides serving on the José Valdés Math Foundation Board, he is an advisory board member for the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program, serving high schools in the East Bay. As a veteran of the computer security industry, Gaspar is currently a Sr. Principal Data Scientist at Palo Alto Networks. He is also an adjunct professor in Computer Science at the Technological University of Panama.
